Discover the Hidden Gem: Middletown Skatepark in Langhorne

Nestled in Langhorne, PA, the Middletown Skatepark, located at 2600 Langhorne Yardley Rd, has become a cherished haven for skateboarders of all ages and skill levels. The journey of this park is one of revival and community spirit.

For twenty years, the original prefabricated skatepark at this location was a popular spot for skaters. But as the years passed, the obstacles became unsafe and failed to meet modern safety standards, leading to its demolition in 2016. After several discussions with local officials, Middletown Township received a $250,000 grant from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, which marked the beginning of the new skatepark’s construction.

Enter 5th Pocket Skateparks, a Philadelphia-based, skater-owned and operated company known for their exceptional skatepark designs – They’re the ones who built the Skate The Foundry bowl and park. They took on the project of rebuilding Middletown Skatepark, bringing it back to life with a fresh, innovative design. The park officially reopened on October 16th, 2019, and has since been a hub of activity and joy for skaters.

Beyond building the skatepark from the ground up, 5th Pocket Skateparks goes the extra mile by conducting annual routine maintenance. This ensures the park remains a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone – big thank you to Jesse and Sloan of 5th Pocket Skateparks. Their commitment to the park and the community is truly commendable.

This June 15th, Middletown Skatepark will host the “Big Middletown Showdown” contest. This exciting event promises to bring together skaters from all over, with all proceeds going towards the skatepark expansion fund. It’s a fantastic opportunity to support the local skateboarding scene and witness some incredible skateboarding talent.

Besides the upcoming events, Middletown Skatepark isn’t just for seasoned skaters. It’s also welcoming to beginners. Skate The Foundry offers skateboard lessons and summer camp, making it a perfect place for anyone looking to learn the ropes of skateboarding.
