Skate the Foundry has been amazing for my kiddo and their love of skateboarding! Brett and the team at Skate The Foundry have helped my child develop such a love of skateboarding and has built so much confidence in it over the past 6 months of lessons with Lilah! We were lucky enough to host their birthday party there this past weekend and it was SO MUCH FUN. The kiddos were all raving, and Brett, Lilah and Possum created the best vibes. Such a fun skate lesson and games and fun for the kids. Couldn't recommend this spot more highly.

Brett was great with my son. He had an awesome time and gained a ton of confidence. Couldn't be happier with this place. The complete boards were "really cool".

My son (6) took at private lesson here last week and am so happy with our experience. The owner is so kind, helpful, and professional and his team is so dedicated to their craft and teaching others the love of skateboarding. They took all the intimidation out of it, and taught my son so many useful tips in such a short period of time. This is truly a Philly gem and would definitely recommend to beginners, especially kids who just need a quality mentor!

Amazing classes. Amazing staff. Everyone is so welcoming and knowledgeable. After attending one class, I felt empowered to skate every day. Lilah was a great instructor and I look forward to being a part of this wonderful skate community! I am a newer skater and I met some really good friends who gave great tips. Kevin is a manager at the store, and he was really kind and supportive. Honestly love this place. Open Skate is pretty open on weekdays and everyone is so supportive.

Amazing spot to learn to skate for all levels! I’ve been skating since I was a kid, but never had the guts to Ollie or ride half pipes. Within my first 10 mins of a private lesson with Brett, I landed an Ollie that was 27 years in the making! One of the best feelings ever. Great for kids, but also really great for adults who want to learn or develop their abilities. Will definitely be back soon

Beginner Skateboarding Classes

Our beginner skateboarding classes are perfect for anyone who is new to skateboarding. You will learn the basics of skateboarding, such as how to balance on your board, push off, turn, and stop. You will also learn about safety precautions and how to fall safely.

Intermediate Skateboarding Classes

Our intermediate skateboarding classes are designed for skaters who have already learned the basics and want to learn new tricks. You will learn how to perform a variety of tricks, such as ollies, kickflips, and heelflips. You will also learn how to skate on ramps and obstacles.

Advanced Skateboarding Classes

Our advanced skateboarding classes are for skaters who have already mastered the basics and want to learn more advanced tricks. You will learn how to perform more difficult tricks, such as 360 flips, varial flips, and inward heelflips. You will also learn how to skate on more challenging ramps and obstacles.

Private Lessons

We also offer private skateboarding lessons for skaters of all skill levels. Private lessons are a great way to get personalized instruction and feedback from an experienced instructor.

Skateboarding Camps

We offer skateboarding camps for kids of all ages and skill levels. Our camps are a great way for kids to learn to skateboard, have fun, and meet new friends.

Skateboard Team

We also have a competitive skateboarding team for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Our team members compete in local and regional skateboarding competitions.

Holiday Camp 2024

Join us for our Holiday Camps at our West Philly and Elkins Park locations! Skaters aged 7-13 can experience the thrill of skateboarding at our private indoor skateparks.

Afterschool Club

We recognize that skateboarding extends beyond cool tricks and our teaching mirrors this. We help our skaters overcome their physical and mental barriers and grow as people.
