Level Up, An Amazing NEW Indoor Skatepark
This past week, I had the chance to explore Level Up Skatepark, a brand new indoor skatepark located in Brick Township, New Jersey. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed. The park boasts amazing ramps, a friendly atmosphere, and an exceptionally clean space.
I had the privilege of chatting with the owner, John. He shared his passion for extreme sports culture and the backstory behind Level Up. The skatepark itself was designed and built by some of the same team that created Camp Woodward PA, so expect some similarities when you visit.
The park’s overall flow is incredible. It rides incredibly smooth because it’s one continuous piece built over a concrete floor. To my surprise, the ramps were much bigger in person than they appeared on social media. The size of the facility truly blew me away. But don’t let that intimidate you! The ramps may be larger than expected, but they’re perfectly designed. The transitions, coping, and spacing are all on point. The coolest part is that the layout allows for multiple sessions to run simultaneously without feeling cramped or risking collisions. You can skate the whole park in one continuous flow, or break it down into sections during busier times. No matter what, you’ll have plenty of space to practice and progress without feeling limited or worrying about getting in someone’s way.
Beyond the impressive ramps, the facility is impeccably clean. You won’t find any dust, graffiti, or trash anywhere. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the space well-maintained. As a business owner myself, I appreciate this greatly. A clean environment shows a genuine care for the space and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, not just core skaters but families and children as well.
Speaking with John, everything about the way the facility is run and maintained clicked into place. He genuinely cares about people and providing the best possible experience. I even observed interactions that made me think some of the clients were actually family, due to the rapport he built with them. John’s dedication to his customers is truly admirable.
Level Up is definitely a must-visit location, and not just for the amazing skatepark itself. Its central location offers easy access to many other attractions within a few miles. Right next door, you’ll find Pro Skateboard Shop, a local staple for 30 years. Just a few blocks away is Brick Public Skatepark, featuring a large bowl with two street sections designed by 5th Pocket Skateparks. And of course, the beach is also within close proximity. So, when you plan your visit to Level Up, consider making a day of it and exploring everything the town has to offer.
